Job Description
I am hiring an employee for an average of 30 hours per week and also 2 temporary employees for on-call status for large projects.

I'm looking for landscapers/gardeners for my small landscaping business out of Salt Lake City with clients in Bountiful, Farmington, Ogden, Farr West and anything in between. Duties include weeding, trimming, planting, transplanting, digging, loading tarps full of debris in trucks, loading and pushing wheel barrows, spreading various ground covers and rock, raking leaves, clearing organic and inorganic debris, building stone paths, loading and unloading greenhouse plants of all sizes, and any other landscape-related activity required by the client or the company.
We do some small-scale installations but mostly monthly landscape care for large private residences and sometimes businesses. We do not do lawn care.

The work season starts in March and lasts until the end of November. There is no available work December through February. We do not work weekends or holidays with the exception of special requests. Personal transportation is a must and a work truck is a HUGE advantage to getting hired.
Applicant must be relatively physically fit, have a good attitude, be able to work alone or in a group, and be willing to learn and take instruction. No experience required except a basic knowledge of landscape care and tools.
Permanent employee must be prepared to work 7 hour days and be self-motivated. Daily start time shifts throughout the season as the weather changes (we start earlier in the day during the hotter months). We also have to work around weather conditions as we typically do not work in the rain or snow, with few exceptions. Sometimes if the ground is extremely wet we have to wait for it to dry out for a half day or a day, depending on the landscape.

All positions are considered contract help and 1099 tax forms are used which enables you to write off expenses including mileage, meals and personal supplies.

Starting wage is $10/hr with raise opportunities as you learn, show up on time for each work day, and prove your value to the company. I am willing to be generous for good workers that prove to be loyal and hard working.
