C.R. BardA?s story began with one product in turn:of:the:century New York City. We now encompass the world, including the Salt Lake City, Ut, division: Bard Access Systems. In 1990, our division began as the Specialty Access Group of our sister division, Davol, Inc, in Rhode Island. After the acquisition of a small company in Salt Lake City, the group moved west, made this beautiful mountain valley home, and grew into the successful division that weA?re proud to be a part of.Our division focuses on developing, manufacturing, and distributing high:quality medical devices used by clinicians throughout the worldwide healthcare industry to access a patientA?s vasculature. Our devices assist in the delivery of chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, and nutrition.This position assists with engineering activities and performs tasks associated with those activities. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes, equipment, tooling and fixtures to produce products that meet customer requirements and are cost effective. The incumbent must also sustain supply chains by managing vendor and material changes; as well as product, equipment and process testing.The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all:inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.Assists with assignments and is a team member.Performs job with supervision.Develops technician skills.Performs job with accuracy and attention to detail; task oriented.Assists in the generation of formal test protocols and reports.Assists in the execution of test protocols and procedures. Sets up and operates test equipment and records measurements with limited supervision.Maintains accurate data and organizes and presents data in a reportable format.Provides process/test method training to manufacturing/QC personnel.Develops and maintains a working knowledge of BAS policies and procedures and ISO and FDA requirements.Expedites and tracks Development Builds through documentation and manufacturing processes.Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and procedures outlined by Bard policies.This position requires:Associates Degree in science, math or engineering and two (2) years of related experience.OR Minimum of (6) six years related experience. The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities. Proficiency in personal computer software, especially Minitab and Excel.Ability to work in a team.Ability to analyze and evaluate data and recommend actions.Ability to provide inputs for technical reports and protocols.Ability to coordinate test protocols.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Technical writing proficiency.General aptitude with testing and manufacturing equipment.Working knowledge of the theory of operation.Ability to operate laboratory equipment within the area of assigned responsibilities.This position is in an office and laboratory environment and requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to twenty five pounds occasionally. The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team oriented, fast paced environment.
