Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Calibration Technician to join our team of diverse individuals in Salt Lake City, UT.
The selected candidate calibrates electronic Test and Measuring Equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Calibrates Commercial Test Equipment as well as specialized internally-developed Test Sets and individual testing equipment. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, internally developed procedures, Manufacturer Manuals and other requirements. Troubleshoots, disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts as necessary. Exercises a thorough knowledge of calibration techniques and utilizes a large array of various Calibration Equipment and Calibration Standards in the performance of the assigned duties.

  • Ability to understand schematic Drawings, trace component failures and make necessary repairs to non-conformant test equipment.
  • Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
  • Ability to change physical locations based upon need,
  • Ability to push and maneuver mobile calibration cart/station,
  • Able to be subject to both external and internal environmental conditions,
  • Ability to communicate over ambient noise level,
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Gear and appropriate safety equipment if/when necessary,
  • Job Requires good hand dexterity and the ability to handle and assemble small parts,
  • Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to make precise adjustments while calibrating Monitoring and Measuring Equipment.
