Job Description
Ginza Japanese Shabu Shabu is an awesome place to work! We have the best Japanese Shabu Shabu (hot pot) in the Salt Lake Valley and we are very proud of our restaurant. So if you like having pride in where you work we are a good place for you. We have an awesome team and we are good at what we do! I do feel that I should mention that the position is 35 hours per week so 5 hours shy of your tradiotianal 40 hour work week. The schedule is Monday-Sunday from 5:00pm-10:00pm. If you cant work everyday we can discuss that upon hire but we are looking for someone who could fill that shift. If you cannot fill that shift that does not mean you are disqualified.
Your responsibilities would be to cut meat and vegitables. Cleaning is required i.e. Dishes, and making sure your workstaion and equipment is clean and in working order. Just keeping the kitchen as clean as possible, if you see something is dirty clean it etc. There is some lifting involved but no more than 50-60 lbs but that is not a constant thing. I cannot stress enough, that though we do not expect it at first, We expect that you pick up your position as fast as possible and that you can execute your duties with speed and efficiency. We do get busy and you have to be able to keep up!
We STRONGLY prefer someone with a car for the obvious reason of being able to get back and forth between work. When you are scheduled we EXPECT you to be here! We rely on you to work your position if we hire you. We do understand that things come up occationally but not constanly.
If your not preparing food we do expect you to be doing something besides standing there, like cleaning, organizing or something! If you feel that you can meet our expectations please shoot me a resume!
