Job Purpose

Territory sales management for all aspect of Gema standard product sales including distribution sales and development.

Gema is a leading supplier in the area of electrostatic powder coating with a worldwide presence. This is a home based sales position with considerable travel required. Territory will cover WA, OR, ID, CA, NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM; west TX, WY (little activity) and MT (little activity). Candidates ideally will live near a major airport in one of the following cities: Salt Lake City, Phoenix or Los Angeles.

Position Description

* Regional and territory management of territory managers and distributor organizations within assigned geographic area.

* Coordinate pricing strategy to meet sales targets both direct and with distribution. May require negotiation with latitude within ranges to achieve results.

* Direct sale of large or higher engineered content for automatic gun (Retrofit) or booth system sales.

* Manage or direct all selling activities including setting sales targets, quotas and performance goals for the region in compliance with growth objectives for the organization.

* Monthly report outlining networking lead opportunities and sales opportunities.

* Approve territory manager expense reports and support budget management as well as performance review.

* Quotation development for direct sales.

* Provide support and input for Director of System Sales and Engineering.

* Support of national sales meeting or marketing events, local distributor sales events, networking and territory development.

* This position has supervisory responsibilities.

* Travel required - 80%.

Position Requirements

* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Familiarity with computers and comfortable with presentation software, spreadsheets and word management programs.

* Good organizational, communication and negotiating skills.

* Previous experience with distribution or distribution management.

* Value selling and sales training for technical sales.

* Additional technical background very beneficial.


* Ability to read and communicate with all aspects of the organization, and vendors, some international.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where most items are standardized. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, may have to move or lift up to 40 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low however within customer factories may periodically be higher.
