DescriptionSummary:

The Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis directs a team in developing and maintaining annual planning and financial reporting, KPI, and management reporting to improve Maverik's competitive position in the market. Responsibilities include defining processes and best practices for the team as well as hiring, training, developing and mentoring. Additionally, the Director of FP&A provides technical leadership in the design and implementation of best-in-class management, accounting, and reporting systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership to direct reports, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, development and mentoring

* Support capital planning, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives

* Coordinate and complete the planning process, inclusive of annual budgets, forecasts and long-term plans that support the strategic objectives of the company

* Implement planning tools and processes while working with the senior management team and department managers to develop and build plans

* Analyze trending data and prepare financial forecasts

* Maintain and develop standard business metrics for analyzing operations

* Leverage current systems and business knowledge to improve business processes

* Develop and maintain reporting to remove barriers between decision makers and data

* Develop and implement strategies to improve and track key metrics, ratios and performance indicators

* Develop strategy and best practices by measuring against competitors and benchmarking with partners

* Identify and implement additional process improvement opportunities

* Serve as a business advisor across departments supporting decision making process

* Additional responsibilities as assigned

RequirementsQualifications: Experience, Competencies and Education

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant experience required; advanced degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred

* 7-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position with progressively increasing level of responsibility

* Knowledge of SQL database systems including a demonstrated ability to read, write and execute SQL script in a variety of environments including Microsoft Excel, SAP Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Management Studio and other applications

* Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative solutions with technology partners inside and outside the organization

* Exceptional Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

* In depth analytical skills, strong understanding of financial statements, key financial ratios, and other performance indicators required

* Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to establish strong relationships with others inside and outside of the organization

* Motivated self-starter with the ability to perform duties with little or no supervision

* Creative/strategic thinking capability
