Technical Support Representation
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Ability to travel frequently required (Between 35:50)
This Tech Support Rep will be based at our Salt Lake City location and will support that location, along with other airports SWA supports. As a Field Service team member, their day:to:day duties include a variety of hardware and software related tasks: Repairing laptops, desktops, and printers, fixing issues at the ticket counter, troubleshooting gate readers, replacing equipment, assisting with equipment moves and refreshes, assisting with network and cabling troubleshooting, etc. This person will interact frequently with our frontline employees and also be visible to our customers. A very high level of customer service is expected : this person must display the SWA values of a Servants Heart, Warrior Spirit and Fun Loving attitude in all situations, including those that could be stressful, with many eye watching.
This Tech Support Rep is essentially the hands of technology. The team in Salt Lake City consists of 5 people and 1 supervisor. They are a close:knit group focused on going above and beyond to make our airport personnels life easier. This role will require travel including overnight travel, and occasionally weekend travel. The frequency fluctuates but is typically around 15:20 days a month.
: Minimum 5 years PC Experience or Expert:Level knowledge on PC Repair. Experience with Thermal printer repair is considered a plus : but we will train on this as well.
: Minimum 1 years networking experience, being able to install and troubleshooting network gear. This is primarily tasks such as installing switches and routers with help and guidance from a remote Network Engineer.
: Must have an understanding cabling infrastructure and its topologies. Low Voltage cabling knowledge is required.
: Must be able to lift 50lbs. or more on a consistent basis.
: Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, or walk for extended periods of time.
: Must be able to pass background requirements for SIDA badging.
: Must be able to troubleshoot and maneuver within the following operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10). We are starting to roll:out Windows 10 across the company currently.
: Must have an understanding of and ability to maneuver within Active Directory (moving workstation object).
: Must be experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite, Service Now Service Desk, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). SCCM experience should include assigning applications and knowing where particular applications are coming from.
: Must be able to demonstrate success and strong experience with problem:solving abilities
: Must be able to communicate effectively verbally by telephone and face to face
: Must possess strong organizational, written, and prioritization skills
: Must be able to adapt to learning new specifications on equipment in an ever:changing environment
: Must possess strong Customer Service skills
: Position is responsible for a broad scope of operational support and install, move, add, and change (IMAC) requests supporting the IT infrastructure in office environments, CS and S Centers, and airport locations.
: Responsible for implementation and support of desktop and mobile devices, applications, peripherals, network devices, airline specific equipment (Kiosk, Flight Information Display Systems), public address systems, and time clock equipment.
: Perform preventative maintenance on operational equipment.
: Configure, install, customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems.
: Position will also provide bench repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration of IT equipment
