Job Summary Develop and maintain processes and applications for extracting, transforming, and loading of data from multiple data sources into the data warehouse. Work with various departments to analyze business needs, develop requirements, and develop solutions to meet these requirements of the business need. Essential Functions Identify GAP analysis on systems to identify additional reporting needs for the business. Perform up front design, document system parameters and schedules, communicate with end users, monitor ongoing work, implement solutions, and manage quality of project from beginning to end. Perform ad hoc queries and predictive analysis to help business users make informed decisions. Give recommendations based on data analysis. Identify data sources, construct data modeling diagrams, and establish complete meta data for the structure and data in the data warehouse. Profile data and work with Odyssey, Web, and ERP programmers to identify business rules surrounding data. Have a thorough understanding of data in source systems and business rules and be able to support fellow team members in understanding data. Be able to audit and troubleshoot missing and incorrect data in the source systems and the data warehouse and give recommendations on correcting this data. Analyze, create, modify, debug, and document Oracle Data Integrator workflows and data flows. Create PL/SQL packages and procedures for automated extracting, transforming, and loading of data for the data warehouse. Perform Oracle DBA functions for the data warehouse including creating and maintaining tables, queries, views, procedures, packages, indexes, functions, and triggers. Monitor tablespace and database performance through database tools. Work with DBAs to make sure that loads are happening correctly and in a timely manner and that the systems are working at an acceptable level. Optimize data warehouse performance by tuning the SQL and PL/SQL in packages, procedures, and functions to ensure acceptable levels of performance from the applications built to interact with the data warehouse. Complete tasks assigned by data warehouse manager in a timely manner and communicate progress to end users. Manage workload through weekly status reports to data warehouse manager. Additional Job Functions Manage and audit user rights for access to the data warehouse Mentor team members. Understand in detail USANA’s MLM compensation program. Understand, in general terms, USANA’s business processes. Understand and adhere to GMP policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field 5 - 7 years relevant experience required Strong knowledge of RDBMS and Oracle applications including PL/SQL, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g/12c, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), OBIA, ERP, and Hyperion. Understanding of Microstrategy, Oracle Enterprise Management System, and Microsoft Excel. Understand in detail USANA’s Multi-Level Marketing structure and compensation plan. Possesses understanding of the software development lifecycle. Possesses advanced computer-programming skills. Understand and abide to advanced design patterns. Possesses leadership skills and the ability to work with team members and customers. Strong written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented, high level performer. Ability to accept and complete tasks and report progress to direct management. Ability to train end-users to access and utilize applications developed to deliver information based on the data in the data warehouse. Ability to mentor other programmers. Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
