Job Description Conexus is seeking an individual to provide software design and development team management for an existing software suite and new software development. The Conexus software suite includes websites, web services, windows services, thick client and a mobile application. This position will be responsible for communicating directly with the IT, Customer Service and company leadership and translating the needs of these teams into software designs. These designs will then be communicated to the development team where a collaborative process will take place to develop more specific execution plan to achieve the software changes. This individual will need to make sure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible and this means making sure they have clear goals, both short term and long term, and that nothing prevents them from doing their work. The software designer will also be responsible for ensuring all software document artifacts are created and maintained. The software designer will work closely with the VP of Product Development. Job Responsibilities: - Analyze customer needs as communicated by the customer service team and company leadership - Communicate over all design and approach to team of programmers and software QA; create flow charts, diagrams and other models and programming instruction to guide programming team - Review requirements and design changes, determine what parts of the software are affected and direct programming to meet requirements; determine specific components to be changed - Develop test scenarios and test cases with QA team; review results of test cases and make adjustments, as needed, to meet requirements - Document all aspects of software, for ongoing maintenance and revisions - Collaborate with other IT specialists, technicians, etc. to deliver software solutions This positon reports directly to the VP of Product Development and works in conjunction with internal teams to determine what software changes or updates need to be made. This individual then works with the development team as whole to communicate the requirements and determine the best way to meet them. Job Requirements: - Due to requirements in our federal contracts, APPLICANT MUST BE A US CITIZEN - A bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering - Significant Windows application development experience with C#.NET - Significant web application development experience with HTML, Java, ASP.NET and C#.NET - Extensive experience in database design and maintenance using SQL 2008/2012 - Extensive knowledge of Object Oriented design - Experience integrating third party controls, SDKs and API - Working understanding of MVVM. - Project management experience is required and PMP certification helpful - Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team of programmers, software technicians, IT engineers and business leaders - Ability to communicate effectively with customers, IT personnel and other coworkers in a constructive and relationship building manner - Must be detail oriented yet creative with strong analytical and problem solving skills - High degree of investment in the work produced - Ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions using strong communication skills. - Hands-on experience with automated testing, continuous integration and automated deployments - Ability to innovate and present new ideas/solutions - Ability to work collaboratively - Experience and strong preference for Agile development Desired: - PMP Certification - Software designer/developer certification - API design and development - Report generation using SQL reporting - Using source control software Team Foundation Server - SQL Compact - WIX - 3rd Party Controls We are seeking an individual that takes pride in the work they produce, seeks the best solution to the problem and is willing to work within the requirements outlined by our company’s goals.
