Quality Assurance Manager $90-100K + 20% Bonus Foods & Beverage Mfg - Responsible for the overall food safety, defense program and oversight of the Quality Control, Sanitation, and Food Science functions as defined by the FDA. Develop and manage all quality and food safety processes, plant sanitation, formulation changes and shelf life management. Manage the quality team in the monitoring and advancing the safety and quality programs to ensure the integrity of each batch of product. Perform process checks through pre-op, production, sanitation, warehousing, label checks, net weight checks and packaging integrity. Oversee, monitor and improve HACCP program, document batch testing with 3rd party labs, manage 3rd party safety audits, plant sanitation program, test equipment and lead employee training on food safety, company processes, GMPs and manage compliance.
BS degree Food Science or Technical/Science related. 3+ years managing a Quality Assurance program and a team in food processing. Knowledge and understanding of HACCP, FDA, GMPs, and a combination of AIB, SQF or BRC standards. Scientific base of knowledge, an entrepreneurial with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company.
