VP Area: President Department: 01739 - FACILITY OPERATIONS Location: Campus City: Salt Lake City, UT Pay Rate Range: 75,000 - 100,000 Open Until Filled: Yes Job Summary The University of Utah Facilities Management (FM) seeks a customer- and results-oriented leader. This leader must engage with all levels of FM and key partners throughout the University in the identification and prioritization of needs, and determine and implement solutions. Responsibilities Lead FM's efforts and staff including those associated with, but not limited to, computerized maintenance management system (AiM), materials purchasing and distribution, Geographic Information System ( GIS), surveying, physical building security (C-Cure), and video surveillance (Avigilon). Oversee and coordinate web sites, server management, and desktop support. Manage relationship with central University IT department and other departments providing and/or receiving IT services to/from FM. In conjunction with FM leadership and others, identify opportunities and risks for FM. Develop and implement strategies to support and enhance FM's efforts to develop and improve. Work creatively across departments to identify solutions for customer needs. Responsible for the coordination of efforts that cross organizational boundaries. Ability to track and manage the forward progress of initiatives and projects will be critical to the success of this position. Assist in the development, implementation and display of Key Performance Indicators and other metrics. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related area, or equivalency required; plus six years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communication skills also required. Master's degree in Business Administration or related area preferred. This position is not responsible for providing patient care.
